From1830onwards,organbuildingactivitiesdoincrease slowly,withDaublaine-Callinetintheleadinthethirddecade andCavaillé-Colltakingtheleadintherestofthiscentury, startinganewandexcitingchapterintheParisianorgan history.Inthesecondhalfofthe19thcentury(andcontinuinginthe firstdecadeofthe20thcentury),theorganbuildingreachesa unprecedentedboomingerainParis,withCavaillé-Collbeing byfarthemarketleader,andMerklinandAbbeybeinghis main competitors.
